Energy Law
LCS has a strong presence in the energy law practice. As Taiwan is highly dependent on imported energy, the policy and law of energy are becoming more crucial than ever. The practice of energy law in Taiwan, however, is an area, in which few firms may claim to have the expertise. LCS has acted as the lead counsel for the Bureau of Energy, Department of Economic Affairs, for years. The unique legal support covers, among others, the energy-policy-related legislature and legal framework for energy issues, as well as the administrative law as faced by the authority on daily basis. In terms of private sector, LCS represents clients from domestic and abroad in transactions such as investment/M&A in energy industries. Also, LCS helps energy companies in their setup, expansion and internationalization. The awards given to LCS include Energy Law, Firm of the Year in Taiwan - Corporate Intl Global Award in 2012.
